With Bubble Cloud Launcher I went to great lengths to save battery by reducing CPU load: the app attempts to only redraw the parts of the screen which changes: but the OS doesn’t provide much aid in this 🙁 So it is mostly a guess-work when it we needed to redraw the whole screen and when the changes are enough. Enabling this option forces Bubble Cloud Launcher to redraw everything every time.
